Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
In the glass the wine is a pale pink color with of fuchsia. The nose is aromatic with beguiling hints of sweet strawberry pie, young pineapple, and red plum notes. This is a dry and pleasantly fruity Rosé with moderately high acidity and plenty of structure to keep it aging gracefully. Flavors of wild strawberries, tart Bing cherries, and crème fraîche linger on a smooth finish.
Vineyard Notes
With the 2019 harvest we were blessed with a mild, even- growing season excellent fruit set. Generous rainfall in May and perfect yields gave us the opportunity to dial in the flavor profiles, acidity, and ripeness of our individual blocks and varietals. With two Rosé harvests in 2019 we were able to develop a more complex and fruit-driven style. Our first was on the 3rd week of September; predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon with a smidgen of Petit Verdot to enhance color. The second harvest was on the 4th week of September; mostly Cabernet Franc with some Malbec for additional complexity. Free run and press fractions were fermented separately in stainless steel drums in a cold barrel cellar. The final blend was an ideal combination for optimal Rosé color, aroma, and fruit flavors that invite another glass.
